Whilst browsing DeviantART for eye submissions this photograph, out of the many many thousand that are here, leapt out of the screen at me. I think that it is the very purity of the image that first hits you, with the subdued and soft skin tones but then in contrast the strikingly beautiful colour of the detailed iris.
The execution of the shot is spot on and the angle it is taken from drives home that this is a child's face.
If I was to be picky, I would have tried to crop in to the face just a little more as to exclude the corner of the mouth from showing but it's not a major issue here.
