Critiques
A wonderful example of macro photography, the picture is tranquil, yet exciting. There are lots of different textures, and it shows beautiful colours.
Originality:
While macro photographs of flowers aren't anything new, devoting yourself to a calender full of Dandelions is no ordinary feat! I love the effort you've gone to to exaggerate the blue tones in the seeds.
Technique:
Obviously that cheap IKEA table is serving it's purpose well! The picture is well lit, and focussed well. The centre of the head could have been a little clearer, with a wider depth of field, but it's not enough to cause any harm to the picture.
Using a blue background to aid the colour of the seeds was a wonderful idea, and makes this piece feel more complete.
Impact:
I would have liked to see a bit more saturation in the image, my first impression told me it was a little washed out, but now I think it's a nice touch. I like the airy feel that it gets from not using really high contrast and really bright colours.
