Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Amazing shot, the horizontal line of attention and depth of focus are very well executed. I just love the detail in the contrast amount of it. Did you apply any manipulations digitally?

My only area suggestion is where your center of focus is. Currently it is half-way between the post and the closest edge of the wire. You might want to either (a) move the focus back a hair near the post or (b) increase the length field of focus to include more back and forth so that the subject of the shot is clearer (or just ignore my ramblings XD haha)

At any rate, high quality snuff, awesome work.

Believe it or not this was taken in almost complete darkness and I had difficulty in focusing as I could hardly see the subject. I had gone up into the hills north of Ammonford, West Wales to take some skyscape shots (which didn't come to much). Time went on and in the car on the way back home I spotted this old fence and gate post, the only trouble was it was nearly completely dark. I took a chance with 1/15 second shots for min DOF and 30 second shots for max DOF. This was the best out of them.

All of the shots in the Nailed To The Post series were taken at the same time and place.

So there you have it :D
