This is very much appreciated. Being an American currently living in England I have seen and heard some of the harshest things. Unfortunately, the things that are seen on the internet can be found in the real world and are a lot more hurtful. Well, it is often assumed that because I am American that I am fat and rich. I am currently overweight, however, I find it uncanny that this occured only when I moved to England... stress eating I think.
I remember going into a school and them saying that I was a lesbian for no reason and said all American girls are lesbians- quite "amusing" when I look back at it but very upsetting at the time.
The problem I think was I moved right when the Iraq war stuff started, so I think that made me a bit of a "target." However, things seem to be slowly looking up. Age of the person can make a lot of difference in their attitude - or that's the trend I'm finding.
We can't help but being fat because our food is sooo good but it's not good for you SO THEY CAN SUCK IT BEFORE THEY SCREW WITH US. Most of the time, other countries are jelous of us. And that rich thing and lesbian thing was definately made up by some anti-America loser. Don't listen to them. You know they're wrong.
